Audition Info Meeting & Workshop

There is an audition workshop and info meeting Wednesday, Aug. 25 at lunch or Thursday, Aug. 26 during Office Hours in the choir room (303).

We will go over the audition process, teach the audition song, and answer your questions.

This workshop is not mandatory, but is highly recommended. If you do not go to the workshop, the audition materials are available below.

Audition Requirements

SINGING AUDITIONS (choir room)

• Sept. 7 & 8 - You will sign up for a 30-minute time slot on either day.

• You will sing the audition song "Hold Your Head Up High" along to the accompaniment track. Sheet music and practice tracks are available below. Memorization is not required, but is highly recommended.

DANCING AUDITIONS (dance room)

• Thurs. Sept. 9 from 4:00pm to 5:30 pm. Plan to be there the whole time, but you may be dismissed early.

• You will learn and perform a short dance routine at the audition. Please wear supportive clothes that allow you to move freely. Dance shoes are preferred (ballet, jazz, character, etc.) or socks. No street shoes or sneakers allowed in the dance room.

CALLBACKS (choir room)

• Saturday, Sept. 11, 9:00am-1:00pm. If you are asked to attend Callbacks, plan to be there the whole time, but you may be dismissed early.

• Auditionees who are being considered for a lead role will be asked to attend callbacks. Even if you are not invited to the callbacks, you may still be cast in a role. Check the final cast list.

• The Callback List and materials will be posted online on Thursday Sept. 9 after the dance auditions are completed.

Rehearsal Conflict Calendar

Please review the rehearsal calendar and provide us with your after school conflicts marked. Please also include Saturday conflicts for potential rehearsals. If cast, you are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances. Your availability for rehearsals can affect casting decisions.
