Our Mission

Our mission in the instrumental music department at PHS is to create the music makers of tomorrow through guided, student-led, and independent means which allows young musicians to flourish through a variety of rehearsal and performance settings. By leading our students down a guided path we do our best to navigate our students through a variety of different genres, settings, and musical eras to allow our students to experience and internalize all of the beauty music has to offer young learners. In the end we want all of our students to gain the skills and confidence needed to express themselves through their art and share it with as much of the world as possible.

"Without music, life would be a mistake"

-Friedrich Nietzsche
